Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills are essential to developing independent, reflective and self-directed learners in the IB PYP. However, their development requires more than identifying skills in unit planners; it calls for intentional planning, explicit teaching and opportunities for learners to apply and transfer these skills across learning experiences.
This webinar will explore the purpose and progression of ATL skills across the PYP and how educators can design meaningful learning experiences that support their development.
Through practical examples and professional reflection, participants will explore ways to make ATL skill development more intentional, visible and purposeful in the classroom.
